Most WorkCenters have a similar look and are configured the same. Some icons are developed in PeopleTools and appear on WorkCenter pages.

Scope

Click the Scope drop down to change your scope option.

Only users who have been given permission to access the Scope field have access to this drop down option. Use the Configure Pagelets - My Work Page, Enable Scope check box to grant access to this field.

Tools or Personalize icon (Fluid) (personalize)

Click the Personalize icon to access these options:

  • Personalize Select to access the Personalize Page (Fluid) (EOWC_WORKLINKS_FL) for the application. You can perform these options for all expandable sections:

    • Determine if you want the group expanded or collapsed when you enter the page.

    • Determine if you want the system to show the transaction count for each label.

    • Determine if you want links to open in a new window.

    • Determine if you want the transaction to appear on the right side when you enter the page.

  • Maintain Scope Detail: Select to access the Maintain Scope Detail Page (Fluid).

    Note: This option is only available when the Scope field is enabled for the user and is not available in SFF

  • Configure Scope: Select to access the Configure Scope Page (Fluid).

    Note: This option is only available when the Scope field is enabled for the user and is not available in SFF

  • Edit Filters: Select to access the Edit Filters Personalize Page (Fluid) for Current Work and Exceptions.

    From this page, you can access the Configure Filter Values Page (Fluid) for the application.

Bulk Action icon

(bulk action)

Select to change the grid format so that you can perform bulk actions. The Action icon for each row changes to a check box, and the Actions button appears to the right of the filter icon.

When Work Management is enabled for a grid and you select the Bulk Action icon and the All History view, the Action button is not displayed. See Understanding the Work Management Framework

Edit Filter icon

Select to access the Refine Filter Criteria page where you can select filter values for the list of results.

Note: This option is only available when the Scope field is not enabled for the user.

Actions

(actions)

Select an action to apply to the selected rows. Actions are specific to the selected section or exception. Action options for each user can be different based on their privileges.

Download to Excel icon

(download to excel)

Select to load the grid information to a spreadsheet.

Find

(find)

Select to enter a search string. The system looks for matches in edit boxes, display-only fields, disabled or shaded fields, dynamic links, and text in long edit boxes. It does not find column headings, field labels, text values on icons, static links, and hidden fields. It does not search HTML areas that are on the grid or scroll area.

Select to access the Grid Settings page where you can hide, freeze, move, and add columns to the sort order.

Contracts WorkCenter - Sort Icon

Select to access a modal window that lists all column headings. You can sort the entire grid on a column heading and optionally save that sort option as your default.

Use the Personalize page (EOWC_PERSONAL_FL) to personalize your display options for Fluid WorkCenter group boxes.

Navigation:

Select the <Application> WorkCenter (Fluid). Click the Personalize icon and then select Personalize option.

Use the Edit Filters Personalize page (EOWC_WORKFILTER_FL) (Fluid) to modify filter values as an end user.

Navigation:

Select the <Application> WorkCenter (Fluid). Click the Personalize icon and then select Edit Filters.

Create Scope

Click this button to access the Create Scope Page (Fluid), where you can copy from an existing scope label.

Scope button (Fluid) (Scope)

Use the Scope icon to reorder the list of Scopes created. The order you determine on this page determines the order in which the Scopes appear when you use the Default drop–down field.

To change the order, click, drag, and drop the Scope icon in the desired order. (This option is not available for Classic WorkCenters.)

The first row is always the default scope option, so make sure that your desired default view is at the top.

Use the Ad hoc Email Configuration page (FL_WRKCENTER_EMAIL) to register the WorkCenter fluid page for which an email notification is required.

Owner

Displays the product owner ID.

Link ID

Displays the WorkCenter link ID. Each My Work link in a fluid WorkCenter page has a unique link ID.

Page Name

Select the WorkCenter fluid page on which an email notification option is required.

Data Record

Select the data record from which data is populated on the WorkCenter fluid page.

Select Fields

Select the fields to be displayed in the email notification. If you do not select any fields, then the process picks the first three key fields of the data record. If the data record does not have any key fields defined, then the first three non-key fields are displayed in the email notification.

Use the Email Notification page (FL_EMAILNTFY_SCF) to notify one or more users of an action they need to take for a transaction.

You need to follow the given steps to set up the email notification framework:

  1. Register the fluid pages on which the email notification option has to be provided. See Ad hoc Email Configuration Page for more information.

  2. Use DMS/DAT files to migrate the email notification setup.

  3. In Application designer, open the fluid page on which the email notification option has to be provided and add a secondary page. Enter page name as FL_EMAILNTFY_SCF.

  4. Add the following PeopleCode in the fluid page activate event.

  5. Access Manage Related Content for Content References page and add a Related Action for the fluid page on which email notification option has to be provided. For more information, see PeopleTools: Portal Technology. Use FL_WORKCENTER_ADHOC_EMAIL as the Service ID for the Email Notification related action.

Note: Email Notification is not available in small form factor (SFF).

Navigation:

Select the Actions icon from the Fluid WorkCenter and select Email Notification.

Subject and Email Text

The system adds this information based on the transactions selected from the previous page. You can edit the email text. See Ad hoc Email Configuration Page for more information.

Note: For Fluid pages that do not have a related content reference, add a work record field (button) on the fluid page. Use FL_WC_EMAIL_WRK as the record name and SENDMAILFIELD as the field name for the button. Invoke the ad hoc email framework.
