This chapter provides an overview of PeopleSoft Customer Behavior Modeling file management and discusses how to use it.
PeopleSoft Customer Behavior Modeling file management enables you to override the default file storage locations by specifying either a fully qualified network path or a URL for an FTP (file transfer protocol) server accessible to the system. You can specify the FTP or file server directory locations for the different kinds of files on the Customer Behavior Modeling File Management page. PeopleSoft Customer Behavior Modeling uses these specifications to FTP or read and write files to and from those locations, rather than default to a directory on the PeopleSoft Process Scheduler server running the current process.
Export or import files, use the File Management (CR_FILE-MGMT) component.
You can use the PeopleSoft Customer Behavior Modeling File Management feature to set file paths for:
Export of flat files.
Export of profile data for model creation (data mining).
Export of files for batch scoring (data mining).
Import of batch scoring and model files generated by data mining.
In addition to setting up the Customer Behavior Modeling File Management page, attach source files on the run control page for imports of batch scores and attach model files to the model definition page for the data mining models.
See Exporting Data.
See Importing Data.
See Using Data Mining.
When exporting flat files, the system either writes them to the default process scheduler directory or to the specified shared drive/FTP directory.
When exporting files for the creation of data mining models (that is, profile data exported to Angoss), the system writes the files to the default PeopleSoft Process Scheduler directory or to the specified shared drive/FTP directory. The user then manually imports the file into Angoss to create models.
When exporting files for batch scoring (by Angoss), the system writes the files to the default PeopleSoft Process Scheduler or to the specified shared drive.
Note. The FTP option is not available for this file type.
The system places import files generated by batch scoring (Angoss) in the default PeopleSoft Process Scheduler directory or in the specified shared drive. The FTP option is not available for this file type.
