This preface provides an overview of the PeopleSoft Integration Broker PeopleBook.
PeopleSoft Integration Broker facilitates synchronous and asynchronous messaging with other PeopleSoft applications and with third-party systems. PeopleSoft Integration Broker uses a variety of communication protocols, while managing message structure, message content, and transport disparities.
This PeopleBook describes the processes for using PeopleSoft Integration Broker to develop and administer messaging integrations. These processes include configuring messaging systems and managing integration gateways. They also include defining message channels, messages, nodes, transactions, relationships, and transaction modifiers.
This PeopleBook also discusses developing the necessary PeopleCode to send, receive, and route messages, as well as developing PeopleCode and XSLT code to filter, transform and translate messages.
This PeopleBook also describes monitoring messaging activity, managing errors, and debugging code, as well as developing listening and target connectors to accommodate additional communication protocols.
