Terminating an Employee

This section discusses terminating an employee workflow.

Description

Event Description

Managers can use the Terminate Employee page to explain and submit their requests to terminate employees that report to them.

Action Description

Once the request is submitted, a confirmation message is displayed. The system creates a workflow email and worklist entry for the human resources department, notifying them to begin the termination process, as well as, an email back to notify the Originator that the transaction was sent to HR.

Note. The sending of workflow is not contingent upon clicking OK on the Confirmation page, workflow is sent before the confirmation page is displayed.

Reporting Change

This section discusses reporting change workflow.

Description

Event Description	Managers submit a request for a reporting change for one of their direct reports.
Action Description	An email and worklist item are routed for approval. The levels of approval and approvers are set up in the approval setup tables and are displayed on the Approval page. After final approval is granted, an email is sent to the manager and a worklist and email are sent to HR as notification that the reporting changes are approved and can be loaded to the employees' Job Data. Depending on setup, the request can be approved and automatically updated to the database or it can be approved and manually updated to the database. If approval is denied, an email is sent to the requestor notifying them.

Requesting a Transfer

This section discusses requesting a transfer workflow.

Description

Event Description	Managers request an employee transfer, with the Transfer Employee transaction. This initiates an employee's transfer to a new position. Managers provide the reason and the effective date for the transfer request, as well as specific details about the new position.
Action Description	When managers submit the request, the transfer is routed through workflow to the appropriate manager for approval. If the approving manager grants approval, the system notifies the current and new managers of the employee to be transferred and creates a worklist entry for the human resources department, notifying them to begin the transfer process.
