Analyze the award and contract comparisons of cost, budget and billing by award, principal investigator, sponsor, project, contract type, award period, accounting year, and accounting period.

Filters are defaulted for Business Unit and Currency Code based on the user's project preferences. The Award PI (example: principal investigator) defaults to the user logged in and using the dashboard making the assumption that the user is the Principal Investigator. The Award End Date defaults to the current day plus ten years as a means of determining the active awards.

Visualizations that are part of this dashboard are:

  • Award Summary

  • Total Cost by Award

  • Billing by Sponsor

  • Billing by Project

  • Cost by Principal Investigator

  • Actual Cost by Contract Type

  • Cost by Source Type

  • Cost and Billing by Year and Period

Award Summary by Award Period grid displays list of awards details including Award Period, Actual Cost Plus F&A, Budget, and Billing.

Award Financials by Fiscal Year and Period grid displays list of awards based on Award Period, Fiscal Year, and Accounting Period. Click the Award Profile link to navigate to the Award - Award Page.

Use Award Portal dashboard to analyze list of active awards by principal investigator, post award administrator, contract administrator, and grant administrator.

Also provides cost, budget and billing comparisons by award and project, recent funding modifications, award milestone status by assignee and type, anticipated funding from future award starts, and proposals in progress.

The Award Portal Dashboard defaults to the logged-in user's contract business unit and currency.

If the logged-in user is an Award PI for any award, the system defaults the user to that role. If the logged-in user does not have an Award PI role, the default role is Post Award Administrator. If the logged-in user does not have an Award PI or Post Award Administrator role, the default role for Award Portal is the Grants Administrator. If the logged-in user does not have an Award PI, Post Award Administrator, or Grant Administrator role, the default role for Award Portal is the Contract Administrator.

Use the date picker at the top of the dashboard to view awards with a particular end date. As an example, you can use this to view awards ending in the next 30 days or already ended. The default value is to view awards ending in the next 10 years (example: all active awards).

Total Number of Awards and Awards by PI: Displays the total number of awards along with the Award PI's name.

Award and Sponsor Information: This section displays the number of awards based on the sponsor's name. The award list grid displays the award details. Click the Award Profile link to further drill down to the Award - Award Page.

Financials: This section displays the visualization of Cost by Source Type, Cost by Supplier, Billing by Project. F&A Reimbursement by Department displays the visualization of department names and the reimbursement amount. Cost and Billing for Last 12 Months displays the comparison of the actual cost and billing amount within the last 12 months of the period. Award Summary by Award Period grid displays a list of award details, including Award Period, Actual Cost Plus F&A, Budget, and Billing.

Milestones: This section displays the visualizations of open milestones over a 12-month period or within a specific due date, as well as the total number of completed milestones. The corresponding Milestone Details grid displays a list of award IDs, as well as milestone status and type. Click the Milestones link in the grid to navigate to the Award - Milestones Page.

Funding Modifications: This section displays a visualization of the date and amount of funding modifications. This visualization displays the data from last year to the next ten years. The corresponding Modification Details grid displays the award information.

Future Award Starts: This section displays the visualization of the number of future awards and the funded amount over the period. The Future Award Starts grid displays the award details. Click the Award Profile link to view the Award - Award Page.

Open Proposals: This section displays a visualization of the number of open proposals and their funding amount by month. Click the Maintain Proposal link on the open proposal details grid to navigate the Proposal Page.
